On August 10, 2022, Ganfenglithium completed the first unsubsidized green certificate transaction in Jiangxi Province.
Green power certificates, issued by the National Renewable Energy Information Center, serve as confirmation and attribute proof of the generated renewable energy. They are the sole certificates for consuming green electricity. Green power transactions involve the purchase collaboration of green electricity between power-consuming enterprises and power generation enterprises such as photovoltaic and wind power.
"Ganfenglithium attaches great importance to the increase in the proportion of green electricity. We have initiated rooftop photovoltaic construction at our factories and have strategically positioned ourselves in photovoltaic and wind power projects through investments and collaborations," said a representative from Ganfenglithium's Sustainable Development Executive Committee. Ganfenglithium is actively exploring ways, including purchasing green certificates, to enhance the proportion of green electricity. The recent transaction with Datang represents the company's initial foray into the field of green certificate trading. As the company's demand for green electricity gradually grows, we will adopt more flexible approaches to increase the proportion of green electricity and adhere to the concept of sustainable development.
